Error cases

Initialisation phase

When incorrect parameters are sent (e.g. unknown terminal, incorrect password, invalid amount, …) the Gateway responds with an error message in XML format.

This message includes:

an error code
a mnemonic description of the error

Notification phase

When a payment can not be completed (e.g. 3DSecure authentication failed) the Gateway notifies the Merchant an error message in NVP format.

This message includes:

an error code
a mnemonic description of the error
a payment id
