Authorisation cancellation
By voiding an authorisation you can help ensure that the amount of a previously approved transaction is released back onto the cardholder's credit card.
Void Authorisation operation is supported by the following payment methods:
- Credit cards, debit cards and prepaid
Void Authorisation operation is IRREVERSIBLE.
NOTE: the effectiveness of the authorization cancellation operation depends on both the type of card used both by the issuing bank's policies; it is recommended to cancel the authorization in the days immediately following the issue of the authorization, in alternative the operation could be refused.

Behaviour of the system in case of error during authorisation cancellation
If incorrect parameters are sent (e.g. unknown terminal, incorrect password, attempt to void an already voided payment, attempt to void a payment an unauthorised payment,...) the Gateway responds with an error message in XML format.
This message includes:
- an error code
- a mnemonic description of the error
